CrossFit, Nutrition, Life... and All Things In-Between.
LOL... thanks Splint. I don't think I'd go that far but it's amazing to see all these people reading my words! :) I just hope that it makes a difference to someone.
Katie, thanks for sharing your story. You are a brave one and believe it or not, we can all relate to some part of it. Crossfit is like dialing 911, it saves lives. Continue being strong and an inspiration to me and many others. It's a pleasure working out with you.
Keturah! :) Thanks for stopping by! I love working out with you too! You always inspire me! You bust through injuries, and even when you land in the ER you continue to recruit to CrossFit. That is quite possibly my favorite Keturah CrossFit story. I imagine the conversation went a little like this... Dr- "So Keturah, what were you doing that gave you a concussion?"Keturah- "Well I was on rep 21 of my chins, and would have had 25 if I wouldn't have fallen off the bar and landed on my head."Dr-"25 chins? Wow! How did you learn to do that?"Keturah- (who by now has been diagnosed with a concussion) "It's called CrossFit, and this is my trainer Jerry. You should go see him. CrossFit is great."Dr-"Hmmmmm... maybe I will... I'd like to do 25 chins..."Love you girl! ;)
Katie, Crossfit is like my american express I don't leave home without it. I have lots of fun with it especially at my hairdresser. One day there was a lady who was doing dips using one of the chairs with her knees bent. My crossfit instinct went in high gear. I immediately told her, "let me show you how you can get the full benefit from this movement." There I was using the dryer chair with my legs straigth and my back as close to the chair as possible, doing bench dips. This lady could have given me a beat down with a hair dryer or something :) or she may have responded 'who the hell she think she is?' At the end everyone in the salon was laughing and had a good old time talking exerice, diet, and of course crossfit. I am very proud of you Katie.
Keturah, oh my god. I was rolling on the floor with that one. I think that might beat the ER story... :) I can't wait to see you in the blue room this week! :)
I knew you back when. They'll interview me for a show about "before you were famous." I'll be on VH1! I'll tell them the story about how you almost killed me. Please don't let fame take you away from your true friends. I am first on the list of comments!!
LOL... Brad you crack me up! :) I am still sorry about that time I almost killed you you know... :(
Congrats, Katie! w00t!
Thanks Keith! :)
